Ok, thank you. I contacted some of our team and will pick up here.
Thank you
Let me know if you need any more information
I have an answer from our team:
You can only have one email in Sourcegraph, that email should match some Github account (ghUserA). Whatever ghUserA has access to via personal repos and orgs, should be able to be pulled in.
Now, if you have ghUserA tied to emailA but would also want to pull repos from ghUserB tied to emailB then that won’t work. It all needs to come from the same user. An alternative would be to give access to ghUserB to whatever other repos he has.
That means, the emails need to be the same on both Sourcegraph and GH. As far as I understand, if you need repositories from other orgas, you need to add them and give them admin permissions to fetch the repos in their scope.
Maybe the confusion is that I have both emails configured on both platforms?
The organization i tried to pull use my work email, and in cody i use my work email as well. when i connect the organization maybe it shows the wrong email?
but it still does not make sense, as i am connected to the organization with my work email and same for cody
Hi, @PriNova
What is the status of this issue now?
We are in the process of comparing and verifying Cody over a period of 6 months, but this feature is not available and the verification is not progressing.
We hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.
Hey @odxkamimoto the status is still that you need to have the same primary email registered with the GH email to work properly as admin for the repositories to manage. If you need to change your primary email in Sourcegraph please write an email to support@sourcegraph.com and they can help you out.
Thank you
Hi,
My primary email address is same as GitHub.
Are you saying that this is a separate issue?
If you try to add an organization outside of your scope, even you own that enterprise organisation, you should see an additional invitation request, which needs to be approved from the maintainer of this repositories.
In my images below, I can register with EpicGames, where I’m not the maintainer but a collaborator, a request will be forwarded to them. If they approve then I would had have granted access to those private repositories within my repository manager for Cody.
I own all of the Enterprise, Organization, and repositories on GitHub. But the repositories do not show up.
What I am concerned about is that my GitHub login is done via GWS SSO, so my email address and other status may be different.
Hey @odxkamimoto May you please send your inquiry to support@sourcegraph.com . This will help the team better to pin down the issue with you.
Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.
