I am trying to register a Private (Internal) repository on GitHub to Cody with an Enterprise starter license.
I have successfully registered GitHub Apps, and I can see the Apps registration in Organization on GitHub (we also have GitHub Enterprise subscription), and the target repository is All Repository.
Naturally, the repositories also exist.
However, the Repositories Status in Cody is No repositories, and of course nothing is displayed when I search.
Is there anything else I am forgetting in the settings?
Also, the login authentication to Cody is done by Google, is there any problem there?
Please answer the above.
Hey @odxkamimoto
When you are in the “Repository Manager”, you need to click “Add Organization” on the left side and allow the Sourcegraph Team app access to your organisation or GitHub User account. After that you are able to see the list of all public/private and forked repositories on GitHub like depicted in the image
I hope that helped.
I have already added Organization with that procedure and GitHub Apps is installed, but I don’t see the repository as shown below.
Did you configure the “Sourcegraph Enterprise Starter” so that it has full access to your repository like depicted here:
It is weird that it won’t show as an extra item like in my previous image above in the Repository Manager after adding the organization repository.
Yes, I was hoping for that as well, but it is not happening.
Is there any way to investigate this issue further?
Some of the things I am concerned about in this environment are,
- the Cody login account is not a GitHub login, but a Google linkage
- the Organization has a mix of Private and Internal repositories
Is this a problem?
How about this problem here, how about after that?
I am unable to reference the repository and have trouble verifying the functionality. I would appreciate your support.
Hey @odxkamimoto
The team is already aware of this issue and we raised an internal ticket. This should be solved very fast because it is a blocker situation.
If I know more, I will provide feedback as soon as possible.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your reply.
I look forward to seeing it fixed.
@PriNova i have the same exact issue. was it solved?
Hey @tomfi
We had maintenance last Friday which affected the repository indexing. Tell me what kind of repositories are not shown in your workspace? Are these only privat/forked/public repositories?
All our repos are private/internal.
we dont have any public repos, and i cant see the organization in the UI at all
I need more clarification to understand the issue more in-depth.
Are you an Enterprise Starter or Enterprise user?
With private/internal you mean all of your repositories are stored locally?
Enterprise Starter.
We are running on Github Cloud (https://github.com/)
We have an enterprise account in github, and im trying to connect some of our organizations.
For example we have an organization that have 2 internal repositories and 2 private repositories.
Internal means anyone in the organization can access them. And private means only people with appropriate permissions can access them.
Im an owner on this organization, and I want to add it to Cody.
Ok, I understand. And you already add the authorization in the Sourcegraph workspace repository pointing to those repositories as an admin?
This is what im trying to do.
This is the setup i have:
After clicking on Save I dont see it in cody (it does not let me upload more then one picture, but all i see is Public code and i dont see my organization like in your picture)
Are you using the same email for the registered account on Sourcegraph like the one used on the GitHub organization?
If not, please go into the user setting and under “emails” add the same email used on GH.
And please try again. Or try to add the organization directly there.
Sorry, I didn’t have such a complex use case yet.
Yes im using my work email.
I tried adding my personal email as well and readd the organization but it did not work
