This has been an ongoing issue for me. Sometimes an update happens and I am logged in, then another update logs me out and I can’t sign back in. I decided to just remove it and stop using Cody all together.

I had the same issue, and it turned out to be an organization firewall (certificate) problem causing the authentication failure. I resolved it by making a simple network change.
Try Enabling Debug mode.

Which version of Cody are you using?
I am also getting the same authentication error. I am using the version v1.38.1.
Until 2 weeks ago, I didn’t have these issues.
I have tried all the methods suggested above, but to no luck.
inst there like a bit a text in the settings.json to fix this? surely Cody is keeping the token somewhere right?
I am having the same issues. but diffrent versions each times. Some times, I the link is being invalid when it sends to me the browser, sometimes after logging in I am logged out etc…

Can you please try the login method like this:
- Open command palette.
- Search for
Sourcegraph: Switch Account
- Then
Sign in with URL and Access Token
- As the URL input
https://sourcegraph.com
+ enter - In the next field input your access token
