This has been an ongoing issue for me. Sometimes an update happens and I am logged in, then another update logs me out and I can’t sign back in. I decided to just remove it and stop using Cody all together.

I had the same issue, and it turned out to be an organization firewall (certificate) problem causing the authentication failure. I resolved it by making a simple network change.
Try Enabling Debug mode.
