This problem just started happening in the past day or so. I have the Cody window set to the right side with the code on the left. Sometimes after a response, the Cody window will just turn grey as in the attached image. The other chat tabs are fine. The only thing that makes the window useable again is to quit and restart VSC. Normally, that restores the window with the chat history. There doesn’t seem to be any particular action that causes the problem. So far, it seems random, but it has happened several times already.
Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help track the problem.
Hi! Thanks to all of you for your hard work. I haven’t had the ‘grey screen of death’ in a couple of days now. I am ready to call it fixed.
I do, however, still get random hangs, where Claude won’t respond and I have to restart VSC probably once per hour. This is always after a regular submission to Claude, nothing special. The logs don’t appear to show anything, but I will keep monitoring.
