Cody VS Code Plugin: New "Edit code" mode Prompts Not Visible or Usable

Hi everyone,

After migrating from custom commands to prompts in the Cody extension for VS Code, I noticed that none of the prompts marked with “Edit code” mode are visible or usable within VS Code. I also tried creating new prompts directly from Prompt Library, but again in the IDE Editor I can only see and use those marked with “Chat only” mode.

I’ve checked my settings and even tried reloading VS Code, but the issue persists. Is this a known problem, or am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Thank you for reporting this issue. Are the migrated commands still available for you?

The other commands as prompts are working as expected now.

What Cody version are you on?

Thank you

Hi, the migrated commands are still available as custom commands which are deprecated though. The Cody plugin gets automatically updated and now it is v1.78.1.
The issue affect all commands/prompts marked with “Edit code” mode that are totally unavailable within VS Code. This also includes new prompts not just the migrated ones.

The only reason why we have chosen Cody is the possibility to define our own custom commands.

Ok, thank you for your feedback. I forwarded it to the team and we will have a look at it on how to increase the UX.
