Copy-paste doesn't work from chat

If you highlight a piece of text from the the chat window, click open the context menu and select ‘copy’, it seems that a) it doesn’t actually copy the selected text or b) the ‘paste’ function doesn’t work when trying to paste the ‘copied’ text to somewhere. Using the ‘insert to cursor’ does work but the above is needed, for example, for copying something to a command line (which if course should be supported directly as well - ref. Github Copilot).

Using latest version of the Cody VS Code plugin and latest version of VS Code.

Thanks @ptkasper I’ve been seeing this issue trend. Are you using Windows, Linux or macOS?

@ptkasper it looks like it is an issue with VS Code. If you update VS Code it should work. Please LMK either way.

for me its in windows 11, and macos, its quite a nightmare
in mac os right click on a part of code show cursor text , a nightmare
evertyhing update to the latest versions
i think its the 100th time i paste wrong code and have to stash

happend to me too, any solve? i cant paste , and need to paste in file and let read to cody…
