Still Rate Limited on Paid Plan – Haven’t Been Able to Use Cody Even Once

Hi all,

I’ve been getting 429 errors since the moment I signed up for Cody — even for simple messages like “hi.” I assumed it was due to being on the free plan and possibly high traffic at the time, so I upgraded to the $9 paid plan. But I’m still rate limited and haven’t been able to use Cody even once.

It’s now been over 24 hours since I upgraded and emailed support (ticket #25027), but I’ve received no reply, and the issue persists.

The error looks like this:

Error: error: {"error":"Anthropic (Sourcegraph Cody Gateway): unexpected status code 429: you have exceeded the concurrency limit of 1 requests for \"chat_completions\". Retry after <time>\n"}

The <time> always matches the current time, making it seem like I’m permanently blocked.

Docs mention a “fair use” policy with daily resets, but that clearly hasn’t applied here.

Have you tried logging out and back into the IDE? It takes a while for the backend to sync with subscriptions.

Yesterday, due to a public holiday in some countries, only half of the workforce was present. But I can assure you that someone will take care of it.

Yes I’ve tried logging out and logging in back. This issue isn’t limited to the IDE.

I can’t use cody even through the web chat interface.

Another day has passed and I still haven’t recieved a reply from support, and I’m still hard blocked from using cody.

I really wanna know a way on how I can escalate this.
