The Jetbrains IDE plugin pops up a dialog with a link to create an issue on Github when there’s a Java exception. I’ve been clicking the link and reporting them.
Seems like most of these are being investigated and then closed as duplicates. Am I wasting the team’s time by clicking the “report” link and opening the issue?
Unfortunately this is what has been happening, all the problems and feature requests that were published on or as it should be on GitHub want to be published on the Forum or on Discord, the problem is that apart from the expert users who can provide a solution based on their experience, some bugs are not fixed or in the case of new features it is not even known if they are received and their possible status… I increasingly see customer service abandoned, in my case I bought the pro monthly subscription, I am cancelling it and requesting a refund.
Hey, thanks for reaching out. Those bug reports do help us, as they tell us you’re experiencing a crash of some sorts in the JetBrains plugin.
We’re not ignoring them, we just have a lot of bugs to work through and it’s not always super clear why the crash happens
It’s on my todos to find a better way to handle the crash reports, perhaps the Github issues are not a good place to put them since we can’t always address them in a timely matter.
I made this post and it has 5 anonymous views currently… and I haven’t even been able to get a “Hi… we’re evaluating your suggestion” or “Hi, we’re not adding any new features” from the staff.
The posts you are pointing out on Discord are feature requests, which are not meant to be answered immediately. But be assured that the team is looking into it.
