I was directed here to state my issue as I am in fact not on the nightly build, nor have I ever been on the nightly build. Yet, I am notified of an update every day as far as I can tell. There are days I don’t open the JetBrains IDE so for the most part, it’s every day that I happen to open and use the IDE. I’m prompted for a Cody update that a lot of time, requires me to go into the directory where it’s stored and forcibly delete the Java files for it to update, or uninstall the plugin, then reinstall it for it to actually update. Now, the last 2 updates, I did not have to do this so maybe that was an issue for me, or it was fixed.
Hey @bradselph
Thank you very much for the review. We really appreciate your feedback. Like Kalan replied, staying on Cody stable is the best option for a reliable and stable user experience.
For those willing to stay on the bleeding-edge of experimental features, the nightly release is the preferred option, but be informed that some bugs may appear and might distract the flow.
Happy programming.
Is this a joke or a bot? I’ve never been on a nightly build, yet I’m receiving nightly update notifications.
It is lack of my understanding. You were always on stable but you got informed to update as if it is a nightly build, right?
The team decided not to release a build every day at 3pm UTC now.
I will have a look, why you got update notifications even on stable.
Sorry.
