New chat UI in v1.20 (feedback)

Hi all, we merged focus followup input after sending chat message by sqs · Pull Request #4305 · sourcegraph/cody · GitHub and shipped a new prerelease build to the VS Code marketplace. This addresses a lot of feedback in this thread:

  • After sending a message, the followup input is focused.
  • This also makes it so there is more visual feedback when you press Enter that something is happening.
  • There is a visible down-arrow button that scrolls all the way down.

For me it’s because the response usually doesn’t get interesting until later. The beginning is usually just summarizing what I just asked it to do
