It would be nice if there was a topic called release notes, and we can see what was done at each release. Maybe it already exists but I can’t find it. When in VSCode it says there is a new release, and I have automatic upgrade one, but I love to also know what was fixed or added so I can use it better.
Github used to have release notes but they stopped last month. What happened?
Hey @esafak
The dev team is already working on it to have a centralized place for the release notes for all IDEs.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
@GevPwr @esafak to expand on what @PriNova said:
First, thank you for bringing this up. We’re setting up automatic release notes for VS Code updates so you can see what’s changed. We’re also bringing back detailed notes for JetBrains products.
One issue we’re working on is clearly identifying which changes are for which IDEs (Golang, Rider, etc.) since updates often affect different JetBrains products.
I do not have an ETA for when these changes will kick in, but it is actively being worked on. Please let us know if you have any follow-up questions.
