Starting from the premise that Ctrl+z is the keyboard shortcut for undoing in Windows, this is also the default shortcut for doing the same thing in phpStorm…
What happens is that if I’m in the plugin chat and press the keyboard shortcut, the phpStorm undo will run on the open documents and not on Cody’s chat…
Can anyone test if this is also happening to them?
Hey @arcanisgk
Cody chat has no undo functionality built-in, because there isn’t something what can be undone.
Out of curiosity, what would you expect to have as an undo/retro feature in the Cody chat and where should it apply?
Thank you
Let’s say I’m writing a prompt and I’ve added about 10 to 15 files and a lot of text, and for some strange reason, the chat content is accidentally deleted… how do I undo the deletion?
When I try to press CTRL+Z to undo the last action, the IDE responds… trying to undo the last action, not the plugin’s chat window…
This feature is in Zencoder… honestly, there are very simple features in the user interface that CODY should have, but they simply aren’t there… I believe and think this plugin in Jetbrain is abandoned.
I’m paying for a subscription, and I don’t think the plugin will speed up development if I have to do a lot of manual things for the plugin to respond…
I’m testing alternatives that have more features related to user experience and ease of use.
Cody having access to 18 AI engines doesn’t benefit me, just one Cloude 3.7 Sonnet extended Thinking…
When I understand you correctly, the feature you are describing is part of the IDE (Zencoder) and not the plugin? If that’s the case, then it is a feature you should request to the specific IDE developer.
I think you’re not understanding…
If I’m here, it’s because some feature is missing or malfunctioning…
And it happens in Cody’s chat… everything else is examples of how it works correctly in another plugin… and how Cody’s malfunction triggers an IDE (phpStorm) event.
At no point have I mentioned an IDE called “Zencoder”, Zencoder is a plugin with features similar to Cody.
