Jetbrains: Keyboard shortcut to start new chat?

At the bottom of the cody window it says “Start a new chat with ⇧ ⌥ L or switch to chat with ⌥ /” (cody 7.1.0, WebStorm 2024.3 RC)

When I do shift+alt+L in my source code it just types this character Ò. Alt + / does some weird thing where it selects previous words in the code.

Do I have to turn off some Jetbrains shortcut or something for these to work?

It could be that there are conflicting states with other keyboard shortcuts. You can change that in the settings → keymap and then search for new chat:

change to whatever shortcut fits your requirements.
