Keep getting error: This file has been restricted by an admin. Autocomplete, commands, and other Cody features are disabled

I am getting the error This file has been restricted by an admin. Autocomplete, commands, and other Cody features are disabled.
consistently.
I am on cody version: 7.66.0, Jetbrains Pycharm pro: 2024.3.2, windows 11.
I have tried everything to restart IDE, change plugin version etc.
Nothing’s working and it is very frustrating.

I am trying hard to stay with cody even with this frustrating experience and on the verge to cancel my subscription. I hope you fix this soon.

thanks,

Hey @ubhisat

We had an unexpected server downtime.
All services are operational again.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Still the same error @PriNova, I restarted my IDE, re-installed the cody plugin, restarted my computer.

This file has been restricted by an admin. Autocomplete, commands, and other Cody features are disabled.

Any other ideas? I can’t be the only one seeing this error all of a sudden, it was working fine a few days ago? Shall I install a previous release of the plugin?

@ubhisat Is there any chance for you to test if you have no problems on VSCode and Cody? I understand and it’s ok that you are using Jetbrains IDE but if it’s possible then this test may help to identify it’s account level issue or more like issue with Jetbrains IDEs.

Personally I think this may be related to Jetbrains IDE (maybe this issue - bug: Edit Commands fail with "Cody is disabled on this file" in IntelliJ + WSL · Issue #1804 · sourcegraph/jetbrains · GitHub)

Also additional question - does every Cody feature doesn’t work you or it’s just edit, autocomplete, chat or …?

Thanks for your reply.
VS code works for me, so no issues with the account. I have reset my IDE/ invalidate caches/indexes etc. I will check the link. thanks :frowning:
I was really enjoying Cody and then this happened. BTW Github Copilot is working fine.

I was able to get it working by downgrading to Pycharm version - 2024.2.5
Previously I had the latest - 2024.3.2.
thanks all for your help and for looking into this.

Thanks for your feedback.

So the conclusion is that there may be a compability issue in the latest Jetbrain IDEs.
